Atera’s hydraulic Bike Lift makes easy work of roof mounting. One lift can be placed on either side of the car. You slide the saddle into its carrying loop, secure it with the safety strap, hook the handlebars into their securing cradle, and then with relatively minimal effort the bike rises to the car roof. Not the cheapest option, but well worth it if you aren’t confident that you’ll be able to lift your bike to head height without it toppling over… a set of adapters is required, depending on your style of roof bar.
